Nose lift (augmentation rhinoplasty) is surgery to modify the appearance of the Oriental (Asian) nose. It is generally done to modify the typical low-profile bridge by using carved silicone implants (silicone injection is extremely dangerous and is not an accepted medical procedure!); and to narrow the nostril base. It is done under local anesthesia; and the patient goes home or to the hotel shortly after the procedure.A typical before-and-after picture is shown below:
