"Single-fold" upper eyelid is a feature in some Asian faces. To many, this is an attractive facial feature. However, some elect to have a "westernized" look. This is accomplished through "Double-Fold" surgery. The surgery is a pretty straightforward correction of the absence of attachment of the eyelid elevator muscle to the underside of the skin. The procedure is relatively quick, and is done under local anesthesia here at the Surgery Center. The patient goes back to home (or hotel) after a brief recovery period. |
